Independent Bookstore Day!

The Book Seller, Grass Valley

Today was a big day for book nerd across the country. Last year's celebration was postponed, as it fell right at the beginning of Covid. The belated event was in August and while it was exciting to celebrate, there was still some Covid tension and it just wasn't the same. But today the store was open, people were happy, and many a book was purchased! I'm not exaggerating when I say I made sure to have my entire morning open, that my official Book Seller t-shirt was clean, and that my list of possible buys was up-to-date and ready to go! The store was abuzz with activity--raffles, free gifts, stickers, and just an overall feeling a joy. It was a truly fantastic day!

So what did I buy???

I made sure to get this year's official tote bag--love it! I also splurged on this beautiful illustrated edition of The Princess Bride (I've been eyeing this copy for a while but listening to As You Wish gave me the nudge I needed). Of course, there were lots of fun freebies added as well.
