Brief Synopsis: This novella is the first in the series about a self-aware security robot, or SecUnit, that refers to itself as a "murderbot." In this tale, the unit is providing safety to a scientific team on a faraway planet. When the another team on the planet goes missing, the unit must work with the humans to figure out what is going on. Lot's of scifi and great dry humor.
Thoughts: I'm trying to expand my reading genres and explore scifi a bit more. These books seem the least intimidating because they're so short--I can get through anything that's only 150 pages! There's lots of scifi gadget talk that I tended to skim over, but I like the overall plot line about a self-aware robot with a dry sense of humor, who loves human TV shows, and who can't seem to help assisting humans when needed (even though it would rather just be alone) It was a fun, fast read.
