Brief Synopsis: Vicar Jack Brooks, a single mom to a 14 year old girl, is sent to new post in a remote English village. Instead of the fresh start they were hoping for, the two find themselves involved in town drama, dark secrets, and a thirty year old mystery--not to mention the 500 year old ghosts that might still haunt the place.
Thoughts: I loved everything about this book! The creepy factor kept it interesting but not disturbing, the dual time mysteries kept me guessing, and I appreciated the authentic voice/relationship of Jack and her daughter--mostly, I was thankful of the way these two women characters were written (not whiny and timid but brave and smart when faced with danger). The Audible version was very well done--highly recommend it!
