The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman

4 Stars Source: HSSF

Brief Synopsis: In a lovely retirement village, four septuagenarians meet weekly to discuss unsolved crimes. When a local developer is murdered, the group uses their combined knowledge and resources to help solve the case.

Thoughts: Initially, I wasn't sure if I would be interested in this story--I know, I'm agist but the thought of the Golden Girls solving cases didn't really excite me. Fortunately, these four characters are not your "typical" elderly persons and I had so much fun reading about their adventures. I couldn't help but cast the group while reading and here's hoping the BBC turns this into a series someday. Looking forward to the next tale in the series!
