Brief Synopsis: Katherine May takes some time off from her job to think about the natural rhythms of life and the seasons.
Thoughts: There is much to appreciate about this book. I enjoyed May's writing and her observations about emotions and our surroundings. My main issue with the book is purely personal and probably just stems from envy: I'm tired of people (mainly white women) who are unhappy with life but have the means to just take time off from work to explore the world and discover what makes them happy. Who wouldn't want to do that?! In the end, however, it is a comforting and easy read, just perfect for a winter's day.
